Advanced Electrolysis
Lesion Removal

What is Advanced Electrolysis and how does it work?

Advanced Electrolysis (Diathermy) is a safe and effective procedure that uses gentle heat through an electrical current to remove a variety of skin lesions. This technique works wonders by targeting the excess keratin build-up on the skin’s surface and eliminating those unwanted growths. For skin tag removal Diathermy is the no.1 recommended treatment as it works by cauterizing the blood vessels that supply the skin tag and ensures the skin tag will not grow back unlike other methods such as Cryotherapy (freezing). The procedure is relatively quick and minimally invasive, without any major downtime. The results are remarkable, leaving you with a smooth and even complexion.

What conditions can Advanced Lesion Removal treat?

Safe treatment for removal of: • Fibroepithelial Polyps (Skin Tags) • Milia • Seborrheic Keratosis • Non-Pigmented Moles • Filiform and Common Warts • Age Spots • Telangiectasia Spider Naevi • Campbell De Morgan (Blood Spots) • Sebaceous Hyperplasia • Sebaceous Cysts • Verruca Plantar Wart • Blue Naevi • Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra

Do I need a consultation beforehand?

It is essential to have a consultation prior to treatment. I offer free of charge friendly and relaxed consultations where I can assess if you are a suitable candidate for treatment and determine the most suitable treatment plan for you, ensuring your safety and satisfaction throughout the process. This way you can make an informed decision before considering any treatment. Use the make an appointment button below to schedule in your free consultation.

If you would like treatment the same day as your consultation please make a note when booking your consultation and I will contact you prior to your appointment.

What happens during an Advanced Lesion Removal session?

The area will be numbed and sterilised prior to treatment, your session will then take place and aftercare will be applied and given to you to take home to continue use.

How long will it take to see results?

The lesion will shrink and heal over the next 10 days (skin tags will fall off in their own time, usually a couple of days following treatment). However allow up to 3-12 weeks for the skin to fully heal and any redness to subside.

How many treatments will I need?

For some lesions a single session will be enough however others may take a few more treatments to get desired results.  This will be discussed at your free consultation when we put together your personalised treatment plan.

How long will results last?

Results for majority of lesions are permanent. For Telangiectasia Spider Naevi future treatments may be required.

Is there any downtime afterwards?
